Have you noticed that the Yoast SEO plugin adds a metabox for search engine optimization on every post type in your WordPress site? For example, here is the metabox under the Quick Tips custom post type added through a child theme here at Frugal Web Guy.
Personally, I have no need to tailor each of these quick tips towards a keyword, so let's look at disabling Yoast SEO on a post type. Under the SEO menu, click Titles & Metas. Click the Post Type tab at the top and scroll down to the post type you wish to disable the Yoast SEO metabox from displaying. Select Hide for the Yoast SEO Meta Box selection.
That's it. The Yoast SEO Metabox will not show, nor be an option under Screen Options for that selected post type.
